On June 29th, 2007, the iPhone was launched. While critics and skeptics believed it to be an overly complicated, design-focused bust, the scores of crowds lined up around the block at Apple Stores across the world begged to differ. The slim design, simple operating system, and perpetual internet connectivity allowed for unprecedented mobile engagement like never before. Granted, flip phones didn’t provide much competition, but still. On the other hand, every revolutionary technological breakthrough has it’s downfalls. Whether it’s frayed charger wires or a lack of space, iPhone users are quick to criticize their favorite device, even on its birthday. In honor of the iPhone’s 10th birthday, we have taken to Twitter to find everyone’s opinions about the world’s first smartphone in 140 characters or less. Take a look at some of our favorite relatable tweets about the iPhone and don’t forget to buy a cake!
