That’s right, LA-based Codesmith has just raised a $1.1 million funding round led by Chad Troutwine, the CEO of Veritas Prep. The investment will help to add more online classes to their already impressive offerings. As the largest privately owned test prep company in the world, Veritas Prep is already teaching thousands of students per year by offering live online test prep to more students than any other program in the US. This investment into Codesmith will seek to make the importance this kind of tech education that much more apparent.  Codesmith was founded by Sentance and Troutwine in 2014 in an effort to provide students with the skills they needed to become at least mid-level software programmers in a short period of time. The movement has grown to a include a bevy of online courses, workshops, and events that aim to guide the future employees of tomorrow into a field that needs more help than anyone ever thought.
