While the data from AddThis isn’t 100 percent representative of all users on the Web, it’s pretty much representative of nearly all users – AddThis reaches over 97 percent of the online population in the United States alone, with presence on more than 13 billion websites. What’s also interesting to note about the data provided to us is the higher adoption rate of OS X Mavericks (approx. 60 percent) on the launch of Yosemite compared to its predecessor OS X Mountain Lion (approx. 40 percent) on the launch of Mavericks. It’ll be interesting to see how Yosemite fairs in popularity compared to Mavericks now that it’s available for users.
