Tel Aviv was the latest stop on the tour, and despite a tough competition, the judges declared four winning startups were up to the challenge of moving on to the final event in D.C. in May. The Tel Aviv Challenge Cup winners are: In the Education category, Lingua.ly presented its digital language learning platform, which combines an online dictionary with a smart, personalized flashcard system to teach beginner through advanced learners via web immersion. In the Energy category, Winflex introduced its new, patent-pending rotor and unique wind turbine design. In the Health category, MediSafe Project showcased its cloud-based medication-management platform, which is designed to understand the personal causes of non-adherence. The project then uses this information in real-time to create better patient engagement and raise medication adherence. Finally, in the Smart Cities category, Pink Park presented the world’s first online parking marketplace to incorporate single spot sensors technology by connecting home and business owners to lease parking spaces to drivers.
