Symptify is a self-evaluative online health tool where users can learn about the causes of their symptoms, locate the closest place to get medical attention and alerts the health care facility that a patient is on the way.  So instead of going on Google, thinking that your headache is a brain tumor and losing your cool, you can get a better diagnosis.

Symptify’s algorithm recognizes symptoms, generates questions, and then provides a diagnosis.

“Our product is a perfect fit for this tech showcase, as we have created the right tool for self-evaluation. Too many people get lost or misdirected when they turn to the internet to self-diagnose and so we created this tool to streamline the process,” says Jalil Thurber, CEO of Symptify. The Health 2.0 Conference, now in its 8th year, has featured only 55 startups at their annual gathering which promotes new technologies in health care. The contest gives startups three minutes to pitch. At the end, the audience votes for their favorites. Previous winners have included Castlight Health, Basis, and OM*Signal.
