While at first glance the infographic may seem a bit chaotic, the simple interface makes it easy to find out which programming language is best for any particular project. You do have to hover over graphs to get the actual data, but the information yielded is more than worth the trouble. With little change over the last few years, JavaScript remains the most popular programming language on GitHub with Java, Python, CSS, PHP and Ruby competing for second place.
