Look no further than the Tesla: it’s a near perfect fusion of the combustion based automobile with today’s most cutting edge technology. Elon Musk saw that the automobile was ripe for innovation, and there are a lot of entrepreneurs who are on the same page as him. That is, the entrepreneurial spirit has woven it’s way into the very fabric of the automobile. CB Insights recently released an infographic, based on their own research data, specifically to highlight the different entrepreneurs and startup companies that are leading this trend of disruption to, as they say, unbundle the car. We’re talking innovation on nearly all levels of the car: engine efficiency, car automation, auto repair, on demand services, GPS, tires, driver safety, and battery storage.
